This year Carers Rights Day is on Thursday 21st November 2024.
Carers Rights Day is an annual campaign run by Carers UK which focuses on helping carers to know and understand their rights, providing the opportunity for carers to get the help and support they need and are entitled to.
This year’s theme is ‘recognising your rights‘.
All carers are entitled to support, from carer assessments to protection against discrimination.
Carers First actively supports Carers Rights Day, focusing on the rights of working carers, reducing stigma, and educating employers.
This is being held online via Zoom and is a 45-minute presentation about understanding your rights as a carer in the workplace.
Join us to learn from our experts about employment rights for carers, including details on the Carer’s Leave Act 2023.
We will also cover Carer’s Allowance, Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Universal Credit, and more. Please spread the word about the event with your networks and join us.
Carers Rights Day is taking place on Thursday 21st November 2024 at 12:30pm and will finish at 1:15pm (45 minutes long).
