Peer Researchers for Boston

Introduction

Calling all Boston young people aged 16 to 30.

Do you want to play a role in shaping Boston’s future?

We are looking for 5 Peer Researchers to be the voices of young people and local communities for Boston.

This is a unique chance to connect with your community, and make sure people’s stories are heard, through important information gathering from young people and residents.

Time/Commitment

You will have flexible hours, to be agreed upon based on your availability and project needs (e.g., 2-5 hours per week/month). We will work around your busy schedule.

  • Fits around classes and life: We have very flexible hours (e.g., 2 to 5 hours per month) to fit around your schedule.

Who we are Looking for

  • Young People who live and work in Boston interested in local issues.
  • Someone great at talking to people and connecting with different groups.
  • Reliable, organised, and a team player.
  • No experience needed, we’ll give you all the training and support!

What you Will do

  • Help design fun and effective ways to get people talking (surveys, chats, events).
  • Talk to people and community members to collect their ideas and opinions.
  • Support community events that bring people together.
  • Help sort and understand the information you collect.
  • Share what you find with project teams and community groups.

The information being collected will be about what the people in Boston like/dislike, what they want to change, and what they want to stay the same.

This information is very important in discovering what Boston needs. If you feel like asking questions that you feel are needed, go ahead!
