Volunteer as a Tutor With Action Tutoring Information Session

Introduction:

These free, 30-minute online Information Sessions are so that anyone interested in volunteering with Action Tutoring as a maths or English tutor can find out a bit more before applying.

You will hear about Action Tutoring from a member of staff for 15 minutes and then have the opportunity to ask any questions ahead of applying, for example about individual circumstances, qualifications or experience suitable to the role.

You don’t need any teaching, tutoring or experience working with children to apply to volunteer with Action Tutoring. They provide training and the resources while you give your enthusiasm and commitment to making a difference for one hour a week.

Why Become a Volunteer Tutor?

Every child deserves the chance to succeed, regardless of their background. Action Tutoring is a charity dedicated to closing the attainment gap and creating a more equitable future for young people.

They are building a diverse community of tutors passionate about educational equity. They are seeking dedicated volunteers from all walks of life to tutor and support pupils facing socio-economic disadvantage in maths and English.

By volunteering for just one hour a week, you will support children to build their confidence and help ensure they leave school with the grades needed to build a bright future, as well as developing your own skills.
