Join us on Wednesday 19th November 2025 for our free Volunteer Management Workshop – Getting Your Organisation Ready For Volunteers

Our series of 5 Volunteer Management Workshops cover a range of topics including:

• Getting your organisation ready to welcome volunteers
• Recruitment and welcoming volunteers
• Making volunteering accessible to all
• Support and supervision
• Developing and valuing volunteers

Throughout each workshop we will share best practice and give you the tools to be an effective volunteer co-ordinator or manager.

Workshop 1 focuses on getting your organisation ready to welcome volunteers and will cover topics such as:

• Volunteer Strategy – explore what volunteering is and why your organisation involves volunteers and the strategy behind it
• Preparing for volunteers – understand the financial cost of involving volunteers, look at your volunteer policy and the role of a volunteer coordinator
• Volunteers and the Law – explore how the law influences ‘good practice’ when involving volunteers, the need for safeguarding and where DBS checks fit in
