Volunteer Management Workshops

Summary:

Our volunteer management workshops consists of three workshops which will be delivered over five half day sessions virtually on Zoom and due to our funding criteria, this programme is only available for charities, community groups and partner organisations working and operating in Lincolnshire who are looking to involve and recruit volunteers.

These workshops are aimed at improving your skills and knowledge in recruiting, supporting and valuing volunteers.

Charities, community groups and partner organisations working and operating in Lincolnshire.

Dates & Times

To get the most from the workshops we recommend that you are available to attend a minimum of four out of the five workshops.

Workshop 1: Wednesday 8th January 2025 from 9.30am to 12.30pm

Getting Your Organisation Ready for Volunteers

Aims: To ensure your group has the correct policies and procedures in place to recruit volunteers. We will also look at how volunteering links in with your organisation’s mission, vision and strategies and why organisations take on volunteers as well as why people volunteer and why they don’t.

Workshop 2.1 (Session 1 of 2): Wednesday 15th January 2025 from 9.30am to 12.30pm
Workshop 2.2 (Session 2 of 2): Wednesday 22nd January 2025 from 9.30am to 12.30pm

Recruiting and Welcoming Volunteers & Making Volunteering Accessible to All

Aims: To be able to recruit and attract volunteers effectively for your organisation and have a wide range of volunteer roles available. We will also look at how you can make your organisation more inclusive for volunteers with additional needs and have a wider range of volunteers involved.

Workshop 3.1 (Session 1 of 2): Wednesday 29th January 2025 from 9.30am to 12.30pm
Workshop 3.2 (Session 2 of 2): Wednesday 5th February 2025 from 9.30am to 12.30pm

Supporting, Supervising, Valuing and Developing Volunteers

Aims: To gain a greater understanding of how to support, value and develop volunteers with tips on conducting a good supervision session. We will also look at how you can deal with difficult situations and saying goodbye to volunteers.

Venue

These workshops are online via Zoom.

An email will be sent to you a week before each workshop and the day before each workshop giving you the Zoom link and providing you with the handouts and activities required during the workshop.
