These Volunteer Management Workshops are for charities, community groups and partner organisations working and operating in Lincolnshire, who are looking to involve and recruit volunteers.
By joining us on this course, you will improve your skills and knowledge in recruiting, supporting and valuing volunteers.
The course consists of 3 workshops which will be delivered over 5 half day sessions virtually on Zoom. To get the most from the workshops we recommend that you are available to attend a minimum of 4 out of the 5 workshops.
Workshop 1 is being held on Wednesday 8th January 2025 from 9.30am -12.30pm and is about getting your organisation ready for volunteers.
The aim of this workshop is to ensure your group has the correct policies and procedures in place to recruit volunteers. We will also be looking at how volunteering links in with your organisation’s mission, vision and strategies and why organisations take on volunteers as well as why people volunteer and why they do not.
Workshop 2.1 is being held on Wednesday 15th January 2025 from 9.30am -12.30pm and is spilt across two sessions, this being the first of the two. This session is about recruiting and welcoming volunteers and making volunteering accessible to all.
The aim of these two sessions is to be able to recruit and attract volunteers effectively for your organisation and have a wide range of volunteer roles available. We will also look at how you can make your organisation more inclusive for volunteers with additional needs and have a wider range of volunteers involved.
Workshop 2.2 is being held on Wednesday 22nd January 2025 from 9.30am -12.30pm and is the second session that follows on from Workshop 2.1 above.
Workshop 3.1 is being held on Wednesday 29th January 2025 from 9.30am -12.30pm and is spilt across two sessions, this being the first of the two. This session is about supporting, supervising, valuing and developing volunteers.
The aim of these two sessions is to gain a greater understanding of how to support, value and develop volunteers with tips on conducting a good supervision session. We will also look at how you can deal with difficult situations and saying goodbye to volunteers.
Workshop 3.2 is being held on Wednesday 5th February 2025 from 9.30am -12.30pm and is the second session that follows on from Workshop 3.1 above.
An email will be sent to you a week before each workshop and the day before each workshop giving you the Zoom link and providing you with the handouts and activities required during the workshop.
Please note that this course is very popular and places are limited. Please only book on if you are definitely intending to attend.
