Volunteer Centre Quality Award for LCVS

Introduction

We are pleased to announce we have acheived the Volunteer Centre Quality Award for LCVS (Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service). This has been awarded by the esteemed Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation (VCQA).

What is VCQA?

The VCQA is a nationally recognised quality standard that offers evidence of the effectiveness and efficiency of an organisation in their delivery of volunteer management services.

It is a testament to an organisation’s dedication towards good practice, demonstrating that it is providing an environment conducive to the development and growth of volunteer engagement, as well as promoting the value of volunteering to the community and partners.

The award of the VCQA to Lincolnshire CVS is a glowing recognition of the tireless effort, dedication and exceptional services we deliver in the community, and underlines our commitment to excellence in managing and supporting our volunteers.

We would like to take this moment to appreciate the efforts of our incredible staff, volunteers, and community partners. This achievement is not just about our services, but it is a reflection of the passion, dedication, and hard work of each individual connected with Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service.

David Fannin LCVS Chief Executive says “I am delighted that Lincolnshire CVS has achieved VCQA, this is an endorsement of the service quality and impact by an important national body.  Volunteering sits at the heart of thriving communities and inclusive growth.  We are committed to sharing knowledge and good practice and giving volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations the best possible support.  The assessment report will be our guide for future strategy and planning and I look forward to learning from others who not only meet but exceed the requirements.”

VCQA Recognition

Achieving the VCQA standard is a significant milestone in our journey, but it is by no means the end. We will continue to work towards improving our practices, focusing on providing an enriching experience for our volunteers, and making a positive impact in our community.

Ann Coxall Trustee of LCVS says “The whole board is delighted to hear of the award.  LCVS staff have worked diligently to make the volunteers’ journey productive and happy; improving not only the lives of volunteers but bringing benefit to our communities”.

The heart of LCVS has always been our volunteers, and this recognition reaffirms our commitment to them. We want to assure all our stakeholders that we are committed to continually improving and evolving our services to ensure we are not just maintaining, but exceeding this standard of quality in our services.

John Latham, Chair of Trustees says “It is always reassuring and rewarding to have external validation of the quality and impact of the charity. The whole Board shares in the congratulations and pride we feel”.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey so far. Here’s to many more years of community service, fostering the spirit of volunteering, and driving positive change in Lincolnshire!
