Join us on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 10:30am to 12:30pm for the West Lindsey Voluntary Sector Forum at Uphills Community Centre, Riseholme Road, Gainsborough, DN21 1YX.

This exciting event is a fantastic opportunity for individuals and organisations in the voluntary sector to come together, share ideas, and collaborate.

At the forum, you’ll have the chance to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from experienced professionals, and gain valuable insights into the voluntary sector. Whether you’re a volunteer, a representative of a voluntary organization, or simply interested in getting involved, this event is for you!

During the morning, there will be a chance to network and hear from local speakers. You’ll have the chance to explore key topics, exchange best practices, and discover new ways to make a positive impact on our community.

  • 10:30am – Welcome and introductions
  • 10:35am to 10:45am – Voluntary Centre Services updates: hear about the latest happenings in the world of volunteering, group development and social prescribing at Voluntary Centre Services.
  • 10:45am to 11:00am – Ruth Gibbsmith – Shed Development Officer, East Midlands, UK Men’s Sheds Association: UKMSA are looking for organisations who are interested in setting up Men’s Sheds in Lincolnshire. – Are you a group who would like to set up a shed? – Have you got service users who would enjoy attending? – Do you have an interest in reducing isolation and improving wellbeing? – Have you got a space suitable to host a shed? – Do you have lots of questions?
  • 11:00am to 11:15am – Andy Mitchell, Citizens Advice Mid Lincolnshire: Andy will be giving a presentation on “An introduction to gambling harms”.
  • 11:15am to 11:30am – Break and networking time: Grab a cuppa, have something to eat and have a chat.
  • 11:30am to 11:45am – Hannah Furnish, Lincolnshire Action Trust: Hannah will talk about Women RISE – a new Trauma Informed service for women and girls involved in, or at risk of involvement in, the criminal justice system.
  • 11:45am to 12:20pm – Around the room: Time to showcase any activities that you are doing to the room.
  • 12:20pm to 12:30pm – Wrap up and networking.
